Inactive Potentials Between Tehran and Caracas Must Be Activated
WANA (Nov 20) – Iran’s Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics emphasized expanding economic cooperation between Iran and Venezuela, stating that there are many inactive potentials in the collaboration between the two nations that need to be activated.
Brigadier General Amir Nasirzadeh arrived in Caracas to participate in the 10th Iran-Venezuela Joint Economic Commission.
Upon his arrival in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, the Iranian defense minister said in an interview: “During this trip, as part of the 10th Joint Economic Commission, various meetings will be held with committees including the private sector and knowledge-based companies. The primary goal of these sessions is to develop plans to expand economic cooperation.”
The Iranian minister stated that over the next two days, multiple meetings would be held with Venezuela’s ministers of industry and mining, oil, economy, and defense. He added: “Our goal is to explore and propose solutions for synergy and enhancing economic collaboration between the two countries, a matter consistently emphasized by the Supreme Leader and the President of Iran.”
Highlighting Venezuela’s untapped potential, he stressed: “There are many inactive capacities in the cooperation between the two countries that must be activated.”
In conclusion, General Nasirzadeh announced that during this trip, he would also meet with Venezuela’s President, Nicolás Maduro.
