Phone Conversation between Iranian and South African Foreign Ministers
WANA (Nov 20) – In a telephone conversation held on Wednesday morning, November 20, Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, discussed issues related to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors meeting, the draft resolution proposed by three European countries, and cooperation between Iran and the IAEA with Ronald Lamola, South Africa’s Foreign Minister. South Africa is a member of the IAEA Board of Governors.
During the conversation, the head of Iran’s diplomatic apparatus referred to Mr. Grossi’s visit to Iran and emphasized the goodwill of the Islamic Republic of Iran towards the IAEA. He also warned that if other parties seek confrontation, the Islamic Republic of Iran would respond appropriately.
The South African Foreign Minister, in turn, thanked Iran’s Foreign Minister for the call and welcomed the cooperation between Iran and the IAEA.
