WANA (Nov 25) – The Iranian Embassy in the United Arab Emirates has firmly denied allegations of Tehran’s involvement in the killing of Tsvi Kogan, an Israeli rabbi, in the UAE.

Some Western and Israeli media outlets accused the Islamic Republic of Iran of playing a role in the murder of the rabbi. In response to Reuters’ inquiries, the Iranian Embassy stated, “We categorically reject the claims suggesting Iran’s involvement in this incident.”

The UAE’s Ministry of Interior issued a statement on Sunday night confirming the swift arrest of three individuals linked to Kogan’s murder.

Authorities revealed that an investigation team had been formed following reports of the rabbi’s disappearance, which eventually led to the discovery of his body and the identification of the perpetrators. Details of the incident will be disclosed upon the completion of the investigation, the ministry added.

Israeli media reported on Sunday that the body of Tsvi Kogan, who had been reported missing since Thursday, was found in the UAE. The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also confirmed the discovery of the rabbi’s body.

Netanyahu’s office described the murder as a “security incident” and vowed to utilize all available resources to identify those responsible. Previously, the Prime Minister’s Office had issued a statement acknowledging the rabbi’s disappearance.
