WANA (Nov 26) – The Handala Cyber Group announced its second successful attack on Silicom, one of the largest front companies of Unit 8200 of the Israeli regime.

According to the group, 72 hours after their initial attack and despite the presence of senior cybersecurity experts from Unit 8200, Israeli specialists failed to cleanse the network. In the second wave of attacks, Handala erased all data from 300 computers within the company to demonstrate its cyber capabilities.

Previously, Handala had reported targeting Silicom through a covert infiltration that lasted several months.

During this time, the group claimed to have collected 40 terabytes of sensitive data, including correspondence, financial and administrative documents, and audio-visual files. Following the breach, Handala stated that it wiped all data from the company’s servers and gained full control over the network.

The group, known for carrying out significant cyber operations against Israeli entities, has stated that these attacks aim to deliver political messages against the Israeli regime, particularly in response to the assassination of Palestinian resistance leaders.

Past operations include targeting the Soreq Nuclear Research Center and various intelligence bodies such as Shabak and even hacking the email account of former Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz.
