WANA (Dec 05) – Kazem Gharibabadi, Deputy Minister for Legal and International Affairs of Iran’s Foreign Ministry, currently visiting Beijing, announced his discussions with the Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister via a post on his official account on X (formerly Twitter), emphasizing that Iran and China share close positions on many global challenges.

 

In the Thursday meeting with Ma Zhaoxu, the Vice Foreign Minister of China, Gharibabadi discussed the latest negotiations between Iran and the three European countries in Geneva, focusing on exploring the potential for resuming talks on sanctions relief and nuclear issues.

 

He emphasized the importance of continued consultations between Iran and China on key international matters, aiming to further enhance their coordination and cooperation in global organizations.

 

Gharibabadi highlighted that Iran and China not only maintain a robust bilateral strategic partnership but also share aligned positions on various international issues.

 

“Regular and systematic dialogue, engagement, and exchange of views with China on legal and international topics are crucial to deepening coordination and cooperation in these areas,” Gharibabadi said.

 

He further stressed the shared opposition of Iran and China to unilateralism, along with their mutual commitment to strengthening the Global South and fostering a just and equitable global governance system.
