Iran Unveils Indigenous High-Power Radio Frequency Generator
WANA (Dec 14) – Iran unveiled a fully indigenous high-power radio frequency generator today in a ceremony attended by Mohammad Eslami, the Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI).
The event took place at the Tech Market Exhibition and showcased a key achievement by the Nuclear Science and Technology Research Institute.
Eslami praised the efforts of Iranian scientists, noting that the newly developed system plays a crucial role in electron accelerators, which are essential for the country’s technological needs.
He also highlighted the importance of irradiation technology, particularly in the field of nuclear agriculture.
On the topic of radiopharmaceuticals, Eslami stated that the AEOI currently distributes 69 types of radiopharmaceuticals, with 20 additional ones under research.
Some of these have entered clinical trial phases and will soon be available for distribution. These radiopharmaceuticals, he emphasized, play a vital role in cancer treatment and combating cancer
cells.
