WANA (Dec 20) – Admiral Shahram Irani, Commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy, has officially announced a major step forward in enhancing the naval capabilities of the country. According to him, a new fleet of highly advanced and complex domestically-manufactured vessels, along with specialized weapon systems, will soon be integrated into the operational structure of the Navy. These additions are expected to catch adversaries off guard due to their unprecedented sophistication and innovative features.

“These new additions include a wide range of capabilities that span multiple domains,” Admiral Irani said during his statement. “They cover surface operations, aerial capabilities, manned and unmanned systems, and advanced missile technologies. What makes these developments even more significant is that our adversaries have no knowledge of the extent of these capabilities or the advanced nature of the technologies we are introducing.”

He emphasized that these systems represent a new generation of advanced technologies. They are equipped with unique features that provide powerful deterrence, ensuring the safety and security of the country’s maritime borders. According to the Admiral, this marks a turning point in the Navy’s ability to maintain strategic superiority in the region.

In detailing the specific enhancements, Admiral Irani explained that the missile systems being introduced are designed to operate at ranges far beyond what is currently in use. Similarly, the unmanned systems have been engineered to perform highly effective operations in the air, on the water’s surface, and even beneath it. These assets are designed for a wide array of scenarios, ranging from reconnaissance missions to full-scale defense operations.

Admiral Irani also highlighted the readiness of these technologies for deployment, noting that all preparations are nearing completion. “We are awaiting final procedural and administrative approvals to formally unveil these groundbreaking systems. They are scheduled to join the Navy’s operational fleet in the coming weeks, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of maritime defense capabilities,” he stated.
