General Salami: Our Missiles Are Up-to-Date
WANA (Jan 12) – The Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Major General Hossein Salami, stated that Iran’s missile capabilities are consistently improving in quantity, quality, and design.
During a visit to an IRGC missile facility, Major General Salami expressed his gratitude, saying: “I sincerely appreciate the brilliance you demonstrated in the operations ‘True Promise 1 and 2,’ which brought joy to the hearts of Muslims worldwide, as well as to freedom-loving people beyond. You brought pride to the Iranian nation and the honorable leader of the Islamic Revolution, instilling fear and panic in the enemy. You have beautifully written a glorious chapter in the history of Muslim battles against global arrogance and Zionism.”
False Enthusiasm Among Enemies
Referring to recent regional developments, the commander noted: “In the past weeks, due to certain events in the region, the enemies have experienced a false sense of euphoria. They have attempted to propagate, through psychological and media operations, the illusion that these developments have weakened the power and influence of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

Firm Resolve Against Enemies
Salami emphasized: “The enemy must realize that our political will to confront their greed, domination, and aggression is unwavering and flawless. Alongside this, the determination of our commanders and the defensive and deterrent forces to uphold that political will is absolute.”
He highlighted decades of preparation: “We have been ready for large-scale battles, heavy confrontations, and even prolonged engagements against interconnected forces of seemingly powerful global and regional adversaries. The strength we possess is the result of years of dedication—from missile production facilities to vast preparation zones. Above all, we rely on God’s power and assistance while firmly believing in our defensive and deterrent capabilities.”
The “True Promise” as a Small Display of Power
Major General Salami referred to the “True Promise” operations as a small demonstration of Iran’s immense capabilities: “Although it was just a fraction of our boundless power, it showcased the growing strength of our missile arsenal. Contrary to the enemy’s assumptions that our production might have ceased, our missile production rate remains up-to-date. Every day, both the quantity and quality of our missiles, as well as their precision and design, are improving.”

He added: “Today, we can simultaneously launch hundreds of missiles in successive waves with high accuracy, speed, and destructive power. Most importantly, our resolve ensures that your hands remain steady on the trigger, ready for orders.”
Self-Reliance in Defense
Salami stressed Iran’s independence in defensive strategies: “The Iranian nation stands strong, relying solely on its capabilities. We have never depended on external powers to defend our independence, identity, dignity, and authority. Self-reliance is the cornerstone of our doctrine at strategic, operational, and tactical levels.”
Addressing the enemies, he said: “Adjust your calculations, avoid mistakes, and be cautious. We act decisively, proportionally, and without compromise. Your moves are under our constant surveillance. We remain vigilant and prepared, waiting for the moment to showcase, with divine assistance, the true extent of our power—just as we have done in the past.”
The unveiling of the new IRGC missile city took place yesterday with the presence of Major General Hossein Salami and IRGC Aerospace Force Commander Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh.
