WANA (Jan 17) – The Political Bureau Chief of Hamas in Gaza, in a phone conversation with Araghchi, expressed gratitude for the support of Iran’s leadership, government, and people. He emphasized that the Palestinian people will continue their resistance with exemplary unity and solidarity until all their legitimate rights are achieved.

 

On the evening of Thursday, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, held a phone call with Khalil al-Hayya, the Political Bureau Chief of Hamas in Gaza. During the call, they discussed the latest developments on the ground in Gaza and the ceasefireceasefire agreement.

 

During the conversation, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister congratulated the Palestinian resistance and people on their victory, commending their legendary resilience in the face of unprecedented genocide and crimes by the Israeli regime over the past 15 months. This resilience forced the occupying regime to submit to a ceasefire agreement and a prisoner exchange deal. He reiterated the Islamic Republic of Iran’s unwavering stance on supporting the Palestinian cause and the legitimate resistance of the Palestinian people against occupation and their right to self-determination.

 

The Political Bureau Chief of Hamas in Gaza provided an update on the situation in Gaza and the ceasefire negotiations. He expressed his gratitude for the support of Iran’s leadership, government, and people, as well as the backing from resistance groups in Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq. He acknowledged that this support played a significant role in achieving this major victory.

 

He stressed that the courageous and resilient people of Palestine, with remarkable unity and solidarity, will persist in their resistance until all their legitimate rights are fully realized.
