Unveiling of the IRGC Navy’s Floating City with Major General Salami’s Presence
WANA (Jan 19) – One of the floating cities of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy was unveiled in the presence of Major General Hossein Salami, the Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC.
During the ceremony, Major General Salami stated: “The facility we visited today alongside the esteemed commander of the IRGC Navy is one of many centers dedicated to maintaining the offensive, missile-launching, and mine-laying naval systems of the IRGC Navy.”
He added, “Although this facility, which the honorable people of Iran are witnessing today, is vast and impressive, it represents only a small fraction of the overall defensive power of the IRGC Navy.”

Referring to the ever-growing combat readiness and defensive capabilities of the IRGC Navy, he continued: “The combat capabilities of these vessels and their missile systems, in addition to the many operational vessels currently patrolling the expanse of the Persian Gulf, are safeguarding our maritime borders. This is alongside other capabilities, including missile launchers and facilities stationed on the islands and coasts of the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, which are ready for mission execution.”
Major General Salami emphasized: “In recent years, the IRGC Navy has made remarkable advancements in both the quantity and quality of its offensive systems.”
He explained: “The speed of combat vessels, along with increased range and maritime endurance, their ability to navigate high waves and turbulent seas, and their long-distance navigation capability in oceans to protect the vital interests of the Islamic Republic of Iran, are all the result of extensive efforts by engineers and operational experts in the Ministry of Defense, the IRGC Navy’s Jihad and Self-Sufficiency Organization, and the Navy’s shipbuilding factories.”
Salami further stated: “The operational range of the vessels, their speed, and the range, accuracy, and destructive power of their missiles have all undergone significant advancements, allowing the IRGC Navy to simultaneously engage in both close-range and long-range combat while maintaining multiple defensive layers with an offensive strategy.”

General Salami also noted: “As I mentioned during my visit to the Aerospace Missile Systems, while we have extensive and numerous tunnels for storing vessels and missiles, the abundance of our capabilities has exceeded the storage space in these facilities.”
He concluded: “With resolute determination, unwavering resolve, and the high spirits of our warriors, we are committed to creating historic and monumental achievements in defense whenever we choose, under the guidance of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, to protect the dignity of this great nation.”
