WANA (Jan 29) – Iran’s Government spokesperson, Fatemeh Mohajerani, stated on Wednesday that Iran is considering multiple scenarios regarding U.S. President Donald Trump and is actively working to remove barriers such as sanctions as soon as possible.

 

On the sidelines of a cabinet meeting, Addressing a question about Iran’s approach to negotiations with a potential Trump administration, Mohajerani reiterated that the government’s foreign policy aligns with the broader policies of the state. “Whatever is decided at the highest levels of governance will be implemented by the executive branch,” she said.

 

She further emphasized that Iran’s foreign policy is guided by three key principles: dignity, wisdom, and expediency. “As previously stated by Dr. Pezeshkian, these principles shape our relations with all countries, and we evaluate them based on their actions, not their words,” she added.

 

Regarding potential dealings with Trump, Mohajerani noted that Iran has prepared multiple scenarios and is ready to adapt to various circumstances. She also clarified that these scenarios are not mere theoretical plans but strategic considerations.

 

Speaking to reporters, she said that Iran’s Minister of Roads and Urban Development has presented a report on his recent trip to Turkey. She announced that the issues concerning truck drivers in the country have been resolved and confirmed that the Tehran–Van train service is expected to be launched by Nowruz (Persian New Year).

 

Regarding the Crescent Petroleum contract, Mohajerani emphasized that the government will release a comprehensive report after a thorough review, ensuring all aspects and considerations are considered.
