Upgraded Pars 1, Pars 2, and Navak Satellites to Be Unveiled
WANA (Feb 01) – On the occasion of Iran’s National Space Technology Day, tomorrow, an official ceremony will be held to unveil the upgraded “Pars 1” satellite, the new “Pars 2” satellite, and the “Navak” communications satellite. Several unveilings are scheduled for tomorrow.
The upgraded version of the “Pars 1” satellite, which offers enhanced capabilities compared to its predecessor, and the “Pars 2” satellite, known for its advanced imaging precision of 8 meters in color and 4 meters in black-and-white, will be revealed during a ceremony at the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology.
Additionally, the “Navak” telecommunications satellite, designed to enhance high-altitude communications, will also be unveiled. This satellite is equipped to test communications in an elongated elliptical orbit, a first for such a trajectory in Iran’s space program.
Alongside the unveiling ceremony, an exhibition showcasing the achievements of Iranian researchers in aerospace technology will be held.
Hassan Salarieh, the head of Iran’s Space Organization, recently announced during a press conference that 25 satellites are currently under construction, with 8 satellites ready for launch.
