WANA (Feb 02) – Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, declared that the Iranian people have the courage to say “Death to America,” emphasizing that the United States is an aggressor and a liar.

Speaking this morning to scholars, Quranic reciters, top memorization champions of the 41st International Quran Competition, and groups of the public, Ayatollah Khamenei described the Quran as the eternal miracle of the Holy Prophet of Islam. He stressed that true reliance on God can make even the impossible achievable.

“Trust and certainty in God’s true promises are the mental conditions for reliance on Him,” he stated. “One must have absolute confidence—without any doubt—that, by God’s will, even the most impossible matters can become reality.”

Gaza’s Victory as an “Impossible” Achievement

The Supreme Leader cited the victory of the people of Gaza against the Israeli regime and the United States as an example of an impossible feat that materialized.

“If someone had claimed that the people of Gaza, a small region, would stand against a global power like the U.S. and emerge victorious, no one would have believed it,” he remarked. “But by God’s will, this so-called impossibility became a reality.”

“A small group can, by divine permission, overpower a much larger force. This is why Gaza is overcoming both the Zionist regime and the American regime,” he added.

Iran’s Distinct Stance Against the U.S.

Addressing global resistance against hegemonic powers, Ayatollah Khamenei noted that many nations face confrontations with arrogant powers, not just Iran. However, he asserted that Iran stands apart because it dares to declare the truth about America’s actions openly.

“The Iranian nation dares to say that America is an aggressor, a liar, a deceiver, and a colonialist that adheres to no human principles. That is why it chants ‘Death to America,’” he said. “Other nations neither dare to voice these truths nor to stand up to America or play their role in the fight against global arrogance. As a result, they achieve nothing.”

Iran’s Progress Despite Global Opposition

The Supreme Leader underlined the necessity of patience and perseverance in achieving results, pointing to Iran’s resilience over the past 46 years in the face of opposition from global powers.

“For over four decades, the Iranian nation has endured and worked hard while the world’s most arrogant powers lined up against it,” he stated. “Yet Iran has not only withstood these pressures but has advanced in all fields.”

“The Iran of today is not the Iran of 40 years ago. We have grown in every aspect,” he concluded.
