WANA (Feb 06) – The Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), General Hossein Salami, responded to recent threats from Israel and U.S. political figures.

Salami addressed the Israeli regime’s ongoing threats, particularly those emanating from its media outlets, which have been discussing the possibility of an attack on Iran’s nuclear sites.

“We have faced these threats for years. While we always take these threats seriously, it is even more critical to respond to them. If any country, government, or regime attempts to assault our interests, they will undoubtedly face a severe response,” Salami said.

He emphasized that Iran’s defensive strategy had already been proven through action, not words, asserting, “We are not a country to be threatened. Our responses will be hard, sometimes unexpected, and unthinkable in terms of their scope, intensity, and the targets we choose.”

He further warned others not to mistake Iran’s power, urging them to reassess their perceptions and make decisions based on the true strength of the Islamic Republic.

“The belief that Iran is weaker is one of the most mistaken ideas held by certain political and military officials and our enemies. The reality is that we are stronger than ever, and the recent demonstrations of our power, including those related to the IRGC, clearly show this,” he added.

Salami also highlighted Iran’s new military advancements, including the unveiling of the Shahid Baqeri drone carrier, describing it as a new achievement in maritime warfare.

“This is just one example, and you will soon witness more demonstrations of Iran’s defensive capabilities, especially from the IRGC,” he said.

In response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent comments on Iran’s military strength, Salami remarked, “I believe one of the few correct statements Trump made was about Iran’s growing strength. He saw the reality more clearly during his presidency. Just like two wrestlers facing each other, the opponent better understands the power of the other. Trump realized Iran’s strength and, based on that understanding, correctly judged that not only has Iran not weakened, but it has become even stronger. This strength is now completely evident.”
