WANA (Feb 11) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has strongly condemned Israeli Prime Minister’s recent remarks suggesting the establishment of a Palestinian state on Saudi territory, calling it an “unprecedented act of aggression” and a “threat to regional peace and security.”

In a phone call with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, on Monday evening, Araghchi discussed the latest regional developments, particularly the situation in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories.

The Iranian foreign minister denounced the U.S.-Israeli plan to forcibly displace Gazans to other countries, describing it as part of a broader scheme to erase Palestine through colonial tactics. He urged the international community to take decisive action against this plan.

Referring to his consultations with foreign ministers of Islamic nations, Araghchi highlighted their support for a serious initiative by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to counter the joint U.S.-Israeli efforts to eliminate Palestine.

He emphasized the need for urgent measures to prevent the normalization of genocide and lawlessness by the Israeli regime, calling for an emergency OIC ministerial meeting on the matter.

Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister reaffirmed his country’s firm opposition to any plan involving the forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza and backed Iran’s proposal for an OIC ministerial summit to adopt a unified stance against the scheme.

Additionally, Araghchi underscored the importance of expanding bilateral ties and maintaining regional consultations, a position welcomed by the Saudi side.

As part of Iran’s ongoing diplomatic efforts to address the situation in Gaza, particularly the alleged plan to forcibly relocate Palestinians, Araghchi also held phone discussions on Monday with Malaysian Foreign Minister Mohamad Hasan and Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf.
