WANA (Feb 21) – Beirut is on the verge of one of the largest funeral ceremonies in its modern history. February 23 will be a day that, according to the head of the ceremony’s media committee, will be etched in the memory of the world’s free people.

Full Preparations for the Funeral Ceremony

According to the official announcement from the Supreme Committee for Organizing the Ceremony, all preparations have been made for a grand farewell to the “Master of the Martyrs of the Nation” and Seyed Hashem Safieddine in Beirut and Dahiyeh. Hundreds of thousands of people from across Lebanon and other countries in the region are expected to flood Beirut’s streets to participate.

The funeral procession will begin early in the morning in the southern suburb of Beirut, with special security measures in place. Streets in the area will be closed, and designated routes have been arranged for mourning processions. Additionally, regional and international news networks will broadcast the event live.

Possible Speech by Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah’s Daughter

Meanwhile, the head of the ceremony’s coordination committee announced the possibility of Seyed Hassan Nasrallah’s daughter delivering a speech at her father’s funeral. Referring to the speech given by General Qassem Soleimani’s daughter at her father’s funeral, he stated:
“Just as it happened in Iran, it is possible that the daughter of the martyred Seyed Hassan Nasrallah will also speak at the Beirut ceremony, delivering the message of resistance to the world.”

If this speech takes place, it could be one of the ceremony’s key moments and, according to observers, is expected to receive significant media coverage.

Massive Public Presence and Global Impact

This ceremony will resonate not only in Lebanon but worldwide. Supporters of the resistance in various countries, including Iraq, Iran, Syria, Yemen, and Palestine, are also planning simultaneous gatherings in solidarity and in commemoration of the occasion.

Analysts believe that this event will go beyond a mere funeral and will serve as a demonstration of popular power and the unwavering commitment of various movements to the axis of resistance. High-ranking Lebanese officials and representatives from regional resistance groups are also expected to attend.
