U.S., Israel Discuss Regional Security and Iran Threat
WANA (Mar 04) – U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz held discussions on regional developments, Iran’s policies, and strategies to counter Tehran’s influence.
According to a statement released by the Pentagon, Hegseth and Katz spoke by phone to discuss military cooperation, security assistance, and regional dynamics in West Asia.
The two officials also addressed what they described as Iran’s threat to regional stability, agreeing on the need for coordinated efforts to counter it. Their conversation focused on shared security concerns and ways to strengthen cooperation in tackling regional challenges.
The Pentagon further stated that Hegseth reaffirmed the United States’ unwavering commitment to Israel’s security, emphasizing the unbreakable bond between Washington and Tel Aviv.
