WANA (Mar 05) – The Kremlin has reiterated that Iran’s nuclear issue must be resolved exclusively through peaceful means, emphasizing the potential for a diplomatic solution.

 

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated on Wednesday that Russia’s position remains unchanged: “The Iranian nuclear issue must be resolved solely through political and diplomatic means. We believe this is possible.”

 

Peskov further highlighted that Moscow is strengthening its bilateral relations with Tehran and is prepared to assist in resolving the nuclear issue.

 

Iran Discussed in U.S.-Russia Talks, But Not in Detail

Peskov also confirmed that Iran was a topic of discussion during recent talks between Russian and U.S. officials in Riyadh, though he noted that it was not explored in depth.

 

When asked about possible Russian proposals for resolving Iran’s nuclear issue, Peskov told reporters: “Yes, Iran was discussed in Riyadh, but not in detail. I repeat, not extensively, as there were no specific initiatives.”
