Iran, Oman Strengthen Ties, Condemn Gaza Crisis
WANA (Mar 08 ) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, who is in Saudi Arabia to attend an extraordinary meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Foreign Ministers, met with Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Oman’s Foreign Minister, on the sidelines of the event.
During the meeting, the two diplomats discussed the latest developments in bilateral relations and regional issues of mutual concern. Araghchi highlighted the long-standing and strong ties between Iran and Oman, emphasizing that the Islamic Republic sees no restrictions in expanding its relations with Oman and is fully prepared to deepen cooperation across all areas of mutual interest.
Referring to regional developments, he described the OIC summit on Gaza as a clear message from the Islamic world against the colonial plot to erase Palestine. He also called for urgent global action to halt the genocide in Gaza and support the reconstruction of the enclave.
Oman’s Foreign Minister reaffirmed the value and significance of friendly ties between the two nations, stressing Oman’s leadership’s commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in all fields.
Expressing appreciation for Iran’s stance on Palestine, Albusaidi underscored the need for regional and Islamic unity to uphold the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and prevent the forced displacement of Gaza’s residents.
