WANA (Mar 16) – The Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said: “The Iranian nation is a peace-seeking nation, not a war-seeking one, and it has never initiated any war. However, it is prepared for any war, and if anyone threatens it, Iran will deliver appropriate, decisive, and conclusive responses.”

On Sunday, Major General Hossein Salami stated in a ceremony that “No matter how many times Iran’s enemies suffer defeats, they fail to learn their lesson and have become accustomed to repeating their mistakes. The enemy is used to advancing its objectives through threats, but it ultimately fails in this approach as well.”

He added: “Wars have always brought the United States severe political losses, widespread hatred, high human casualties, and enormous economic costs. Yet, they continue to insist on this misguided strategy, despite achieving no results in these wars.”

The IRGC commander emphasized: “They are always making mistakes, especially regarding the Iranian nation. The idea that Iran is susceptible to threats and will submit to the political will of its adversaries through intimidation is entirely wrong.”

Major General Salami reiterated: “The Iranian nation is indeed a peace-seeking nation, not a war-seeking one, and it has never initiated any war. However, it is prepared for any war. If anyone threatens it, Iran will deliver appropriate, decisive, and conclusive responses.”

He further noted: “The U.S. president has in some way linked the operations of Yemen’s Ansarullah to Iran. We have always stated that the Yemeni people are independent, free, and possess a sovereign national policy. Ansarullah makes its own strategic and operational decisions, and the Islamic Republic does not dictate policies for any group within the resistance front, including Yemen’s Ansarullah.”

The IRGC commander stated: “Wherever we take action, we do so openly and take full responsibility for it. If we attack anywhere or support anyone, we declare it. Just as we accepted responsibility for Operation True Promise and previous actions, we stand by what we do.”

He warned all enemies: “Any threat that takes on a practical dimension will be met with a firm and devastating response.”
