WANA (Apr 14) – One month after U.S. sanctions on the criminal group “Foxtrot” over alleged collaboration with Iran, the UK has also imposed sanctions on the group and its leader, claiming Iranian support.

On Monday evening, the UK government sanctioned the Sweden-based criminal group “Foxtrot” and its leader “Rawa Majid”, alleging Iranian support for the group. According to reports, London has claimed that Iran supports this criminal group.

The UK Foreign Office also issued a statement announcing new sanctions, including asset freezes and disqualification of the leadership of the Foxtrot network and Rawa Majid, citing “activities that contribute to or facilitate serious organized crime in the UK or any other country.”

This move comes one month after the United States imposed sanctions on Foxtrot and Rawa Majid.

In March, the U.S. Treasury Department announced that its Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) had sanctioned the “Foxtrot” network and Rawa Majid, the fugitive leader of the group.

In its official statement, the department accused the group of drug trafficking and attacks on Israelis and Jews in Europe and claimed cooperation between the group and Iran.

According to the U.S. Treasury’s claim, in January, Foxtrot carried out an attack on the Israeli regime’s embassy in Stockholm “on behalf of” Iran.
