WANA (Apr 18) – The spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote: “Each day, more children lose their lives either in the bombings of Gaza or as a result of the Israeli regime’s deliberate policy of starving civilians. These actions, under international law, constitute war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide.”

Ismail Baghaei, the Foreign Ministry spokesperson, wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) account in response to the ongoing genocide committed by the Israeli regime in Gaza, referring to a statement by the UNICEF spokesperson in Palestine: “This report is not from the Middle Ages, nor from a dark historical era — this tragedy has been repeating every day for nearly two years.”

He added: “According to the UNICEF spokesperson in Palestine, the average number of children killed since the beginning of the Gaza war has reached 27 per day.”

He went on to emphasize: The UN General Assembly has repeatedly condemned Israel’s crimes;

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has categorized these acts as genocide against Palestinians by Israel;

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has issued arrest warrants for the leaders of this regime;

Yet, the massacre continues…

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson reiterated: “Each day, more children die either due to the bombings in Gaza or from the Israeli regime’s intentional starvation policy targeting civilians. According to international law, these are war crimes, crimes against humanity, and acts of genocide. The Israeli regime — along with its accomplices and enablers — must be held accountable.”
