Iran’s Ambassador to Lebanon Warns Against Disarmament Project
WANA (Apr 19) – The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Lebanon warned that the disarmament project is a clear conspiracy against nations. He emphasized that Iran is aware of the dangers of such a scheme and cautions others not to fall into the trap set by enemies.
Mojtaba Amani, Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon, wrote in a post on the social media platform X: “The disarmament project is an obvious conspiracy against countries.”
He added: “At a time when the United States continues to equip the Zionist regime with the latest weapons and missiles, some countries are being prevented from arming and strengthening their own militaries. Meanwhile, others are pressured to reduce or destroy their arsenals under various pretexts.”
Amani stated: “As soon as these countries give in to disarmament demands, they become vulnerable to attacks and occupation, as was the case in Iraq, Libya, and Syria.”
The Iranian ambassador stressed: “We in the Islamic Republic of Iran are fully aware of the grave nature of this conspiracy and the threat it poses to the security of the region’s nations, and we warn others not to fall into the enemy’s trap.”
He concluded: “Maintaining deterrent power is the first line of defense for sovereignty and independence, and it must never be compromised.”
