Iran’s FM: Diplomacy is the Only Path to Agreement
WANA (May 05) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi emphasized that diplomacy, based on mutual respect and interests, remains the sole path to achieving a viable agreement and criticized Israel’s actions and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s influence on U.S. foreign policy.
In a message on social media platform X, Araghchi criticized the U.S. support for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu‘s actions, stating that “LETHAL support for Netanyahu’s Genocide in Gaza and waging WAR on behalf of Netanyahu in Yemen have achieved NOTHING for the American people.”
He further accused Netanyahu of attempting to dictate to U.S President Donald Trump what could and could not be done in diplomacy with Iran.
“Netanyahu is attempting to brazenly DICTATE what President Trump can and cannot do in his diplomacy with Iran. The world has also learned how Netanyahu is directly MEDDLING within the U.S. Government to DRAG it into another DISASTER in our region.”
Araghchi claimed that Netanyahu had deceived President Biden’s administration into approving a $23 billion arms deal funded by American taxpayers. He noted that, compared to the potential cost of a wrong move against Iran, this sum is relatively insignificant.
“If the goal is ‘The only thing they can’t have is a nuclear weapon’ as President Trump just said, a deal is achievable and there is only ONE PATH to achieve it: DIPLOMACY based on MUTUAL RESPECT and MUTUAL INTERESTS,” he added.
He also pointed out, “The Netanyahu-First minority, terrified of diplomacy, has already divulged its real agenda. The world should pay attention as it reveals its true priority.”
