WANA (May 06) – Christophe Lemoine, spokesperson for the French Foreign Ministry, made hostile remarks against Iran on Tuesday evening, stating that the release of French nationals detained in Iran is a top priority for Paris.

Without acknowledging the espionage charges against the two French citizens currently imprisoned in Iran, Lemoine asserted, “Our method to achieve this goal will be through maximum pressure.”

These individuals were arrested on charges of espionage, yet the French official made no reference to these accusations, instead emphasizing France’s determination to escalate pressure on Iran to secure their release.
