WANA (May 08) – The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Lebanon has strongly condemned the recent Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon, calling them a blatant violation of international law.

In a statement published Thursday on its official account on the X platform, the Iranian Embassy denounced Israel’s ongoing military actions, describing them as “a clear violation and challenge to all international resolutions and agreements.”

The embassy further asserted that “the Zionist regime continues to pursue a policy of spreading unrest and destruction in its surroundings—an approach that has defined its behavior since its illegitimate founding.”

Referring to the recent strikes in southern regions of Lebanon, the statement added that “these repeated aggressions are directly targeting the safety of civilians and the stability of the country.”

Reaffirming its position, the Iranian Embassy emphasized that “this behavior once again underscores the aggressive nature of the regime and its disregard for what is referred to as the ‘international community.’”

Earlier on Thursday, media outlets reported that Israeli warplanes had launched airstrikes on the town of Nabatieh in southern Lebanon.
