Araghchi Condemns Attack on Iranian Embassy in Sweden
WANA (May 10) – During a phone conversation with the Swedish Foreign Minister, Iran’s Foreign Minister condemned the attack on the Iranian Embassy in Stockholm and called on the Swedish government to take serious action against those responsible.
In the phone call between Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, and his Swedish counterpart, the two sides discussed bilateral and consular matters.
Araghchi strongly condemned the assault on the Iranian Embassy in Stockholm, urging the Swedish authorities to deal firmly with the perpetrators and to take necessary measures to prevent such incidents from recurring.
He also emphasized the importance of deeper consultations to resolve misunderstandings and strengthen Tehran–Stockholm relations.
The Swedish Foreign Minister, reaffirming his country’s commitment to the protection of Iranian diplomatic premises, assured that Stockholm would take all necessary steps to ensure the security of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s embassy.
