WANA (May 15) – Iran’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York has called on the United States to take full responsibility for what it described as “brutal violations” against Yemen, instead of deflecting blame.

 

In a statement published on X following Wednesday’s UN Security Council meeting on Yemen, the Iranian Mission condemned Washington’s recent remarks, saying:

 

“At today’s UNSC meeting on Yemen, the U.S. once again launched a cynical and baseless accusation against Iran, desperately trying to deflect from its own brutal attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure in Yemen.”

 

The statement concluded: “The U.S. must be held fully accountable for such severe violations. Blame games won’t wash away U.S. heinous crimes.”
