Pezeshkian: They Plunder the World, Yet Call Us Thieves
WANA (May 15) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian reacted to recent comments made by the President of the United States during a speech, criticizing the American stance toward Iranian officials and defending Iran’s role in the region.
“The President of the United States gave a speech in the region. I didn’t have time to listen to it, but I read the transcript,” Pezeshkian said. “He called Iranian officials thieves, while they are the ones plundering the world.”
He continued, “They called us thieves, while we have devoted our existence to serving the people, and yet they portray us in a different light. The life and possessions of our dear Leader are clear to everyone—and so is the life of those who loot. They say Iran has made the region insecure. Is it really we who have made the region unsafe, or is it Israel, which commits crimes with the support of the United States?”
Pezeshkian added, “They say they have sanctioned Iran for 47 years and have closed all paths to us, but they do not know Iran and Iranians. They do not understand the kind of scholars, scientists, and heroes that exist in this country. That’s why they haven’t been able to defeat us.”
The President emphasized, “Despite the conspiracies of our enemies, we seek peace and calm. We and our neighbors share the same roots—we are friends. We are deeply rooted in this land for thousands of years. It is they who are rootless, yet they insult the Iranian people. We have bonds of brotherhood with all our neighbors.”
He noted, “They assassinated our best scientists, and then they call us terrorists. Israel has killed 60,000 innocent people and still talks about peace.”
Pezeshkian concluded, “I promise that with the cooperation of all sectors of this country, we will build this nation. We do have problems, but we will overcome them. With unity, cohesion, and the leadership and guidance of the Supreme Leader, we will get through these difficulties.”
Trump: Iran’s drones are fast, deadly, and terrifying
“I told one of the American companies that I wanted a lot of drones. In #Iran, they make good #drones for $35,000 to $40,000. Two weeks later, that company came back to me with a drone that had cost $41 million. I told them… pic.twitter.com/f3JwhrwAqY
