WANA (Apr 27) – Leopards are known to exist in Mazandaran province, located in northern Iran.

The Caspian leopard, also known as the Persian leopard, is a subspecies of leopard that is native to Iran and other countries in the region.

Although the population of Caspian leopards has been declining due to habitat loss and poaching, there have been efforts to protect and conserve this species through various initiatives, including the establishment of protected areas and the implementation of conservation programs.

However, it is important to note that leopards are wild animals and can be dangerous if provoked or cornered, so it is important to exercise caution and avoid approaching or disturbing them in their natural habitat.
