WANA (Oct 01) – Ali Akbar Ahmadian, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, offered condolences following the assassination of Hezbollah leader Seyed Hassan Nasrallah during a visit to Hezbollah’s office in Tehran and stated, “Victory belongs to the resistance. The enemy’s limited ground operation in Lebanon failed, forcing an immediate retreat.”

Ahmadian emphasized Hezbollah’s strength remains intact despite the loss, noting the movement is entering a new era of empowerment similar to the period of empowerment after the death of Seyed Abbas Mousavi. He reaffirmed Iran’s ongoing support for Hezbollah, built on shared beliefs and ideals.

Commenting on potential Iranian responses to recent Israeli crimes, Ahmadian highlighted that the resistance front is engaged in a broader conflict where isolated actions have no strategic meaning.

“This confrontation began with the resistance’s initiative, not the enemy’s. From that day until now, the enemy has only been reacting, not taking proactive steps. They are in a state of desperation, attempting to show strength through psychological operations and a few assassination-based operations, but success is beyond their reach.”

He added, “Just last night, they launched their so-called limited ground operation, only to retreat immediately.”

Ahmadian remarked that the enemy is in a reactive, desperate state, engaging in psychological and assassination operations without success. He reiterated, “Victory is assured for the resistance, while defeat is inevitable for the enemy.”

Ahmadian praised Nasrallah’s leadership, stating, “His martyrdom has elevated the flag of resistance to the highest peak, and Hezbollah will shine even brighter in the future.”
