WANA (Sep 22) – The Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon, reflecting on the injuries he sustained from the recent explosion of pagers in the country, stated, “This injury is an honour for me, as it signifies my presence alongside the oppressed people of Lebanon during this war crime.”

 

In a recent post on his personal X account, Mojtaba Amani, the Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon, shared his experience following the recent bombings in the country, stating, “As you may know, I, like many others in Lebanon, was injured in the recent attacks.”

 

Amani expressed gratitude for the swift and effective care he received, crediting both Lebanese and Iranian medical professionals. “Thanks to the initial interventions of the dedicated Lebanese doctors, followed by the invaluable efforts of Iranian physicians, my treatment is progressing well,” he noted.

 

He further emphasized that his injury is a badge of honour, as it represents his solidarity with the oppressed people of Lebanon during this wartime event. “I am deeply grateful to all the officials, fellow citizens, and friends in Lebanon who expressed their concern for my well-being, as well as to the esteemed President and ministers of Iran for their prompt assistance in saving the lives of the injured and to the medical teams who have worked tirelessly for my recovery and that of others.”

 

In closing, Amani conveyed his heartfelt wishes for a swift recovery for all the injured and divine mercy for the fallen. “I pray for the rapid healing of all the wounded and for God’s grace and blessings upon the martyrs.”
