WANA (Mar 01) – The political advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader shared an account of the visit of Japan’s former Prime Minister to Iran and his meeting with Ayatollah Khamenei.

Ali Shamkhani, in a post on his social media account on X, shared a photo of Shinzo Abe’s 2019 meeting with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and wrote: “The envelope that the late Shinzo Abe is sitting on contains Trump’s message, which was supposed to be delivered to the wise Leader of the Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei. The Leader’s reaction to the U.S. led the Japanese Prime Minister to hide the message. Read between the lines!”

During his 2019 visit, then-Prime Minister Shinzo Abe carried an envelope that was believed to contain a message from Donald Trump to Iran.

Meanwhile, yesterday’s tense exchange between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Trump in front of the media—and the dismissive manner in which the U.S. president and his vice president treated him—has sparked widespread reactions among European officials, international affairs experts, and global media.

This humiliating encounter reflects the West’s instrumentalist approach toward dependent governments—the very approach Iran’s Supreme Leader warned about two years ago.

On February 29, 2023, Iran’s Leader stated: “Western powers’ support for nations and governments that serve their interests is nothing but a mirage; it is not real. All governments must realize this.”

Two years after that warning, Ukraine now finds itself in exactly the same position the Iranian Leader had foreseen: isolated, under pressure, and a victim of the West’s exploitative policies.
