In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

“Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah. Among them is he who has fulfilled his vow, and among them is he who awaits (his chance).”

Once again, the Islamic Revolution has been nourished by the sacrifice of one of its Guardians of the Shrine, strengthening the steadfast tree of the Islamic Revolution. The distinguished combatant, Colonel Ahmad Reza Afshari, a member of the IRGC Aerospace Forces in Syria, was martyred due to injuries sustained from an airstrike.

This noble companion of the End Times, like those who stood by Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), was wounded in early August during an airstrike by the invading coalition forces in Syria and was transferred to Iran for medical treatment.

Today, Thursday, he joined his martyred comrades due to the severity of his injuries. I extend my congratulations and condolences on the martyrdom of this honorable martyr, and I pray to the Most Generous and Noble God for the elevation of his ranks and his companionship with the martyrs of Karbala.

For his esteemed family, relatives, and respected comrades, I wish health, steadfastness in continuing the path of martyrdom, and sincere jihad in the path of the exaltation of the Quran and the Ahl al-Bayt, and the honor of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
