WANA (Oct 07) – Today, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, and Badr Abdel Aty, Egypt’s Foreign Minister, held a phone conversation to discuss the latest regional developments.

 

During the call, both sides emphasized the need to intensify diplomatic efforts to halt Israel’s military offensive in Lebanon and Gaza, as well as to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to displaced people.

 

Araghchi, referring to his recent visit to Beirut, described the situation of the resistance in Lebanon as favorable and reaffirmed the full readiness of resistance forces to confront any potential ground assault by the Israeli army.

 

He also stressed that while the Islamic Republic of Iran does not seek to escalate tensions or provoke war in the region, it will not shy away from responding firmly and proportionately to any new Israeli aggression or provocations.

 

Both ministers agreed to continue consultations on the evolving situation in the region.
