WANA (aug 24) – Iran’s Foreign Minister announced that Iran’s response to the Zionist regime’s terrorist act “will be precise, calculated, and well-managed, with retaliation taking place at the right time and in the right way.”

In an interview, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, discussed several international issues, including the Arbaeen pilgrimage, the situation in Gaza, and the response to the Zionist regime.

Araghchi described the Arbaeen pilgrimage as a “massive movement, unparalleled anywhere in the world,” where millions participate peacefully, conveying a profound message and ideal to the world. He emphasized that this pilgrimage revives the memory of the martyrs of Karbala and their ideals.

He also highlighted the ongoing genocide in Gaza by the Zionist regime, lamenting that “unfortunately, we are witnessing a repetition of Karbala in Gaza today.” He condemned the regime’s crimes, stating, “The Zionist regime spares no atrocity, killing women, children, and civilians without hesitation.” Araghchi likened Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the Yazid of the current era, committing atrocities in Gaza akin to the tragedy of Karbala.

Expressing hope that all Arbaeen pilgrims will sincerely pray for Muslims in Palestine, Gaza, southern Lebanon, and other regions, Araghchi said, “May God, by the blessing of Imam Hussein (AS), uproot Zionism and the Zionist regime.”

Regarding his recent consultations with the foreign ministers of Germany, France, and the United Kingdom, Araghchi reiterated Iran’s right to punish the Zionist regime following the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas’ political bureau, in Tehran. He affirmed that the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran is grounded in unchanging principles that have been consistently implemented across all administrations and will continue with even greater determination under the fourteenth government.

He emphasized that these principles will be pursued with greater coordination among relevant institutions, including the Parliament, and highlighted that the fourteenth government has eliminated the division and polarization that Western powers seek to create within the country. Araghchi noted that the introduction of the National Unity Government to the Parliament and the unanimous vote of confidence given to all ministers reflected this commitment to unity.

Araghchi stressed that the efforts of enemies to create division and polarization within the country have failed, and the government is united and resolute in achieving its ideals. He concluded by stating that in his discussions with the foreign ministers of the UK, Germany, and France, he made it clear that the Zionist regime’s terrorist action against Iran’s security and sovereignty would not go unanswered. “Iran’s response will be precise, calculated, and managed with all necessary considerations,” he said, adding that Iran would not fall into any traps, and the retaliation would come at the appropriate time and in the appropriate manner, with no doubt about its inevitability.
