Araghchi: Israel’s Use of Certain Countries’ Airspace for Attacks on Iran is Unacceptable
WANA (Oct 30) – Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, referring to his recent visit to Iraq before Israel’s attack on Iran, stated that Iraqi officials have assured him that they will not permit Israel to use their airspace or territory for such attacks. He added that Iran is in communication with the Iraqi government to file a formal complaint on this matter.
On the sidelines of the Cabinet meeting, Araghchi said, “Diplomatic interactions have played a crucial role in creating a unified regional voice against Israel’s crimes in Lebanon and Gaza, helping to control tensions.” He also noted that Israeli aircraft carried out attacks by using a route opened for them by the United States, involving the airspace of not only Iraq but also some other countries in the region.
Araghchi Criticizes Europe’s Support for Terrorism
In another part of his remarks, Araghchi criticized Europe’s support for a known terrorist responsible for a deadly attack in Shiraz. He stated that this attack led to the deaths of 14 people, and Europe is expected to act more responsibly in such matters. Araghchi added, “In protest, we summoned the German ambassador for discussions on this issue.”
