WANA (August 12) – The Rimdan border crossing in Sistan and Baluchestan, southeastern Iran, is currently welcoming Pakistani pilgrims for the Arbaeen pilgrimage.

This border terminal is hosting Pakistani Arbaeen pilgrims for the third consecutive year, and this year, following diplomatic efforts, the first Pakistani buses are entering Iranian territory.

Given that the Rimdan border is hosting Arbaeen pilgrims for the third year in a row, the necessary infrastructure has been developed, including expanded parking areas and shaded spaces, cooling facilities, enhancements within the passenger terminal, and the establishment of a prayer hall.

Last year, approximately 48,000 Pakistani pilgrims crossed this border, and it is anticipated that this number will increase during this year’s Arbaeen pilgrimage.
