WANA (Sep 28) – Following yesterday’s Israeli attacks, Iran’s First Vice President, in a message to Lebanon’s Prime Minister Najib Mikati, condemned the clear crimes committed by Israel and expressed condolences to the Lebanese government, people, and the families of the victims.

The text of Mohammad Reza Aref’s message is as follows:

Dr. Najib Mikati

Honorable Prime Minister of Lebanon,

The attacks by the Zionist regime on the Dahiyeh area of Beirut are a blatant crime against humanity, once again exposing the state terrorism of this regime. The ruthless bombardment of Lebanon by the Zionist regime is a clear violation of all international norms, including the territorial integrity of this country. This aggression is the result of years of the international community’s failure to stop the state terrorism machine of the Zionist regime and has once again proven that this regime is the greatest threat to regional and international peace and security.

In such circumstances, it is certainly expected that all countries, especially Islamic nations, will firmly condemn this crime and exert pressure on this rogue and illegitimate regime, raising the cost of its adventurism and curbing its inhumane actions.

I, hereby, condemn this crime and extend my condolences and solidarity to the people and government of Lebanon and the families of the esteemed martyrs of these attacks. I share in the grief of the dear people of Lebanon and the proud Lebanese Resistance.

Undoubtedly, the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran will pursue this recent crime by the Zionists in international forums and will continue to stand alongside the Lebanese people and the Resistance Front.
