WANA (Oct 01) – Iran’s First Vice President emphasized in his remarks: “the core strategy of the 14th government’s foreign policy is to enhance cooperation with neighboring and regional countries.”

 

Iran’s First Vice President, Mohammad Reza Aref, traveled to Armenia today (Tuesday) to attend the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) summit. Ahead of his departure, Aref highlighted plans to discuss bilateral and multilateral issues with several prime ministers and condemning the crimes of Israel actions.

 

Aref emphasized Iran’s commitment to enhancing both bilateral and multilateral relations during this trip, as well as to actively participating in regional joint and multilateral frameworks. He stated, “We aim to significantly strengthen our ties within these cooperative systems.”

 

He also noted Iran’s growing involvement in regional organizations like the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and BRICS. During the visit, Aref will propose Iran’s membership in the EAEU, recognizing its potential for trade and economic cooperation.

 

The summit will address Iran’s potential membership in the EAEU, which includes key northern neighbors: Russia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Belarus.
