WANA (Jan 05) – The spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned the recent airstrikes by the United States and the United Kingdom targeting infrastructure in Yemen’s Saadah province, located in the north of the country.

Esmail Baghaei criticized the continued military aggression by the US, UK, and Israel against Yemen, labeling it a blatant violation of Yemen’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

He emphasized that such actions contravene international law and the United Nations Charter. Baghaei warned that these aggressive measures would only lead to heightened insecurity and instability across the West Asia region.

He also denounced the ongoing genocide and killings of Palestinians, condemning the persistent political and military support provided by the US and UK to Israel. Baghaei stated that this support constitutes direct complicity in the commission of international crimes against the people of Gaza.

Highlighting the honorable solidarity shown by Yemenis and other free nations with the Palestinian people, Baghaei called for more decisive action from the global community and Islamic countries.

He urged organizations such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to act urgently to halt the genocide in occupied Palestine and assist the displaced people of Gaza.

Yemeni media reports indicate that three rounds of airstrikes, carried out by US and UK forces, targeted eastern Saadah, an area under the control of the Ansarullah movement.
