WANA (June 29) – Iran’s Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ali Bagheri Kani, Expresses Concern Over Rising Tensions in the Region

“In the past 24 hours, I have spoken with the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Germany, Cyprus, and Russia, as well as the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

In these discussions, I emphasized the urgent need for effective and immediate international action to stop the crimes of the occupying regime in Palestine. Concerns were raised regarding regional developments and the escalation of tensions.

The Islamic Republic believes that the disastrous consequences of potential escalation and conflict in the region stem from the irresponsible behavior of the United States and the Western supporters of the Zionists.

Today, the readiness of the nations in the region and the resistance front to confront the aggressions of the Zionist regime is more significant than ever, and the responsibility for another crisis directly lies with the Western supporters of the regime.”
