WANA (August 12) – In a meeting with the media and journalists, the Acting Foreign Minister of Iran highlighted the significance of multilateralism in safeguarding the country’s national interests and security. He emphasized that Iran’s involvement in the decision-making processes of multilateral organizations like BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is of great importance.

 

Elaborating on the approach and objectives of Iran’s diplomatic apparatus in the realm of foreign policy, Bagheri mentioned that multilateralism represents a new model for gaining power during this transitional period. He stressed that the participation of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the decision-making of multilateral institutions such as BRICS and SCO is vital.

 

Bagheri also underlined that in the field of foreign policy, Iran’s focus is on strengthening the components and pillars of deterrence against its adversaries. Therefore, the ongoing progress and forward movement of the Islamic Republic of Iran are crucial.
