Bagheri’s Calls with Egypt and Jordan on Regional Issues
WANA (August 04) – Ali Bagheri, the acting Foreign Minister of Iran, announced on his X account early today that he had telephone conversations with the foreign ministers of Jordan and Egypt. He stated that Muslim countries must prevent the ongoing genocide of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
He wrote, “Tonight, in response to a phone call from the foreign ministers of Jordan and Egypt, which was our second conversation within the past 48 hours, we exchanged views on regional developments. All three of us emphasized the importance of continued consultations among the countries of the region.”
Baqeri warned about the ongoing crimes of the Tel Aviv regime, saying, “The situation in the West Asia region is particularly sensitive due to the continued crimes and dangerous adventurism of the criminal gang ruling in Tel Aviv.”
He also emphasized, “The Muslim countries of the region must take a united and decisive stance, and coordinate actions to prevent the continuation of genocide in Gaza and the expansion of Zionist regime aggression in the region. Iran’s determination to hold the regime accountable is serious.”
Following the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the political bureau chief of Hamas, by the Israeli regime, Iran’s diplomatic apparatus condemned this criminal act of the Israeli regime in communications with international officials and regional countries. It stressed Iran’s right to retaliate and respond to this crime and the violation of national sovereignty by this regime.
