WANA (Oct 23) – The summit of BRICS leaders in Kazan, Russia, resulted in a statement emphasizing the need for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza and some other key issues.

 

Following this statement, the member countries condemned the Israeli regime’s aggression against relief groups and aid distribution centers in Gaza.

 

The statement also highlighted the violation of international law by the Israeli regime, referring to the explosion of pagers in Lebanon as a crime.

 

Additionally, BRICS countries condemned Israel’s attacks on Iranian diplomatic buildings in Damascus and stressed the necessity of respecting Lebanon’s territorial integrity.

 

Moreover, BRICS leaders expressed their deep concerns regarding the adverse effects of illegal sanctions on the global economy and called on Israel to cease its attacks against United Nations personnel.
