WANA (JAN 11) – Following the insult of the French Charlie Hebdo magazine to Iran’s top officials in the form of cartoons, different social classes in Iran are reacting with anger to this act of the French.

These days, rallies are held in front of the French embassy in Iran. Today, a number of students and ordinary people showed their anger to this action of the French government. The students believe that these insults are done with the permission of the French government and Charlie Hebdo magazine is only a scarecrow in the hands of those who claim freedom of speech.

 

Supporting the supreme leader of Iran was the main program of the gatherings. The university students emphasized that the Western countries cannot create a gap between Iranians people and leadership of this country with this model of insults.

By chanting different slogans, they challenged the discriminatory democracy of the West in the field of freedom of expression. Throwing eggs on the wall of the embassy and writing slogans on the wall have been other reactions of the students to this action of the French government.
