WANA (Apr 23) – Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy, Seyed Rasoul Mohajer, announced that the Iran Expo 2025 will be held next week on April 28, bringing together thousands of international participants in Tehran.

Speaking at a meeting on “Iran Expo 2025 and the Iran-Africa Summit,” attended by senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohajer emphasized that this year’s expo offers notable improvements over previous editions.

“Around 2,500 international traders will participate in the event,” he stated. “Delegations from 106 countries are expected to attend, including official representatives from 39 nations.”

Mohajer underscored the economic focus of the expo, adding that it is also expected to have a positive impact on Iran’s tourism sector.

Iran-Africa Summit to Host Senior Officials

Mohajer also announced that the Iran-Africa Summit will take place a day earlier, on April 27, with the participation of Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref.

He noted that Africa is receiving special attention during this year’s Expo, and that the Iran-Africa Summit will pursue both political and economic goals.

According to Mohajer, 19 ministers, 14 deputy ministers, and 18 heads of chambers of commerce have confirmed their attendance.

“The African participants will also have the opportunity to explore Iran’s regional economic capacities and will visit the city of Isfahan,” he added.

Participation from International Organizations

Mohajer further revealed that secretaries-general of several major international organizations will attend both events. Additionally, foreign ministers attending the expo and summit are expected to hold bilateral meetings with their Iranian counterparts.

Concluding his remarks, Mohajer said that following the events, there will be a comprehensive assessment of the outcomes in a meeting with Vice President Aref, to review the strengths and areas for improvement in both gatherings.
