WANA (July 30) – The inauguration ceremony of Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, the ninth President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, will be held on August 31, 2024, in the Islamic Consultative Assembly. Masoud Pezeshkian won the second round of the 14th presidential election with 16,384,403 votes.

 

The ceremony will be attended by both domestic and international guests, including the Chief of Staff of the Supreme Leader, the Head of the Judiciary, the Chairman of the Assembly of Experts, the Secretary of the Guardian Council, the Chairman of the Expediency Discernment Council, a number of ministers and officials from the 13th government, and senior military and civilian officials.

 

The inauguration will be broadcast live on domestic television networks, and more than 600 journalists, photographers, and cameramen from domestic and international media will cover the event.

 

Ceremony Schedule
On the day of the inauguration, after the session is officially opened by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Parliament, the session agenda will be read by a member of the parliamentary presidium. The agenda includes:

 

  1.  Playing the national anthem of the Islamic Republic of Iran
  2. Recitation of verses from the Holy Quran
  3. Welcome and remarks by the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly
  4. Remarks by the Head of the Judiciary
  5. The swearing-in ceremony of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran
  6. Remarks by the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran
  7. Closing speech by the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly

 

As in other inauguration ceremonies, a commemorative stamp will be issued to mark this event. Additionally, commemorative photos with domestic and foreign guests may be taken, which will serve as symbols of international cooperation and diplomacy.
