WANA (Aug 24) – Iran’s Foreign Minister, referring to the fact that diplomacy complements the field and the field complements diplomacy, said, “We are coordinating with the armed forces on how to respond to the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh.”

Speaking to reporters after visiting the tomb of Martyr Amir-Abdollahian, Seyed Abbas Araghchi commented on Iran’s response to the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas’ political bureau in Tehran. He said, “Diplomacy complements the field, and the field complements diplomacy. Together, we will move forward in such a way that the country’s national interests, complete security, and national dignity are fully realized.”

Araghchi emphasized that resistance is one of the pillars of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s foreign policy, stating, “This has been the case in the past and will continue to be so in the future. Our bond with the axis of resistance is fundamental, and we will use all our capacities to support the resistance and the oppressed people of Palestine, especially in Gaza.”

He added, “This is one of the areas where the connection between the field and diplomacy is very clearly demonstrated. Dr. Amir-Abdollahian made great efforts in this direction, and the Operation “True Promise” , which was executed, in my opinion, is one of the best models of coordination between the field and diplomacy, achieved through his efforts and those of the field commanders.”

Referring to the ‘Promise of Truth’ operation, which was in response to the Zionist regime’s attack on the Iranian embassy, the Iranian Foreign Minister continued, “Iran’s response to the Zionist regime’s crimes was given, and the expansion of the war in the region, which was the Zionist regime’s intention, was prevented. This time, too, we are in full coordination with the armed forces.”
