WANA (Mar 29) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in a phone call with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, extended his congratulations on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr and wished the people and government of Iran the acceptance of their prayers and worship. He also asked Pezeshkian to convey his greetings and best wishes to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic.

 

During the call, Erdogan highlighted the upcoming Iran-Turkey Joint Economic Cooperation Commission meeting in the coming months and emphasized its significance. He stated, “In this meeting, we can engage in detailed discussions on bilateral, regional, and international issues of mutual interest.”

 

The Iranian president also extended his Eid greetings to Erdogan and the people of Turkey, stressing the importance of strengthening relations between the two countries. He expressed hope that an opportunity for an in-person meeting would soon arise, allowing them to deepen bilateral ties and discuss regional and international matters of common interest.

 

Pezeshkian further stated in the phone call, “I hope the Muslim people of Turkey and all Muslims around the world benefit from the blessings of Eid al-Fitr.”

 

This phone conversation took place within the framework of the friendly relations and ongoing cooperation between Iran and Turkey, with both leaders reaffirming the need to enhance bilateral interactions.
